Using mobile technology, eCAP is conducting regular research to assess the impact of its social mobilisation activities in all the communities where it is working. It has developed a unique dashboard that makes a massive data set available to the public to inform planning on Ebola and the recovery, available at dashboard.ecapliberia.org.
It also has a Rapid Research component which conducts periodic snapshots to probe into emerging issues around the Ebola outbreak and response. This aims:
- To gauge community knowledge and attitude on general Ebola awareness (prevention, care and treatment).
- To understand how knowledge and attitudes are translated into action.
- To explore the factors limiting or promoting positive action.
This has been designed to inform the current response in Liberia but also to share learning that could support emergency preparedness and interventions in the future.
